Terms of Service

Welcome to Fantasy Meltdown. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fantasy Meltdown website and application (the “Service,” “we,” “us”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Fantasy Meltdown is a fantasy football assistant that connects to your Sleeper account to display your leagues, rosters, matchups, rankings, free agents, and news in a single interface. The Service is currently in private beta, is provided free of charge, and is read-only with respect to your Sleeper data: it reads public Sleeper data on your behalf and does not modify your leagues. We may add lineup management or other write features in the future; if and when we do, those features will be governed by these Terms (as updated).

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. To use most features you must sign in with a Google account, and to connect your fantasy data you must provide an accurate Sleeper username for an account you control. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, and for keeping your Google credentials secure.

Account creation is facilitated via Google OAuth. Fantasy Meltdown only accesses your basic profile information (email and name) to establish your account identity and does not access, store, or modify any other data from your Google account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk, or use automated means to access the Service except as expressly permitted.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise discover the source code of the Service, except to the extent allowed by applicable law.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures.
• Use the Service to violate the rights of others, infringe intellectual property, or break any law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by overloading our infrastructure or the upstream APIs we depend on.
• Misrepresent your identity, including providing a Sleeper username for an account you do not control.

Third-party services and content

The Service relies on data and services provided by third parties, including Google (sign-in), Sleeper (league data), FantasyPros (rankings), and various news publishers (player news). Fantasy Meltdown is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sleeper, Google, FantasyPros, ESPN, the NFL, any team, any player, or any other rights holder. All product names, logos, and brands are the property of their respective owners.

We have no control over third-party services or the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of the data they provide. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

Your content and feedback

You retain ownership of any content you provide to us (such as feedback or support messages). By submitting feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to operate and improve the Service.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we handle it.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or reliable. Rankings, projections, news, and any recommendations are informational only and are not guarantees of player performance or fantasy outcomes. You should not rely on the Service for time-critical decisions without verifying with primary sources.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fantasy Meltdown and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, fantasy league standings, prizes, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fantasy Meltdown and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms or to protect the security or integrity of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

Upon account deletion or termination, your personal data will be handled and/or purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to the Service and these Terms

The Service is under active development; features may be added, changed, or removed without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fantasy Meltdown regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
